According to a Reuters poll, 68 out of 110 economists think the Fed will cut interest rates once or twice this year, up from 69 out of 105 in the July survey. In addition, 67 out of 110 economists think the Fed will cut rates to 4.0% -4.25% in September, compared with 56 out of 105 in the July survey.
