According to Decrypt, Czech police have detained convicted drug dealer Tomas Jirikovsky and seized assets related to his donation of $45 million in bitcoin to the Czech Ministry of Justice. Pavel Blazek resigned in May amid growing criticism after the donation was made earlier this year and the then justice minister, Pavel Blazek, accepted the donation without verifying its origin. Prosecutors say the focus of the investigation has shifted to suspected money laundering and illegal drug dealing.
