According to Crowdfundinsider, Scotch whisky maker Bowmore has announced that it will issue a tokenized limited edition whisky on the Avalanche blockchain. The first "Collector's Edition" of the project is priced at $5,500, and each bottle of whisky will be bound with a non-fungible token (NFT).
Bowmore is part of Suntory Global Spirits and is one of Scotland's oldest whisky distilleries. The digital foray is the brand's first in the field of tokenisation of physical assets (RWA), designed to provide collectors with new ways to interact.
