Analysts: The increase in the annual rate of core CPI is not a good sign

Analyst Anstey said it was worth noting that core CPI rose 3.1% year-on-year in July, slightly higher than expected. Keep in mind that Federal Reserve Chairperson Jerome Powell has been saying that policymakers are focused on 12 months of inflation. So, that doesn't bode well.
