"Even if everyone on the planet had a billion supercomputers, each guessing a billion passwords per second, it would still take 10 to 10 years, far more than the age of the universe," said Graham Cooke, a former Google executive and blockchain chief executive. "A 24-word mnemonic is 340 trillion trillion times harder to crack than a 12-word mnemonic."
