Simon Gerovich, CEO of Japanese listed company Metaplanet, said in a social media post that Metaplanet acquired 518 BTC at a price of about $118,519 per Bitcoin, with a total value of about $61.4 million, and achieved a 468.1% BTC yield so far in 2025. As of August 12, 2025, the company held a total of 18,113 BTC, and the total acquisition cost was about $1.85 billion, with an average of about $101,911 per coin.
