On August 12, billionaire investor Peter Thiel disclosed that he holds 7.5% of ETHZilla (formerly 180 Life Sciences). The company recently completed a $425 million private placement and a $156 million convertible bond issuance, and the funds will be used to increase its holdings of Ethereum. This is the second Ethereum treasury company that Thiel has deployed after investing in BitMine (9.1%) in July.
Affected by the news, ATNF shares rose by more than 11% in a single day and surged by 57% after hours.
