Metaplanet CEO: Bitcoin is a necessity to fight inflation and protect wealth

Simon Gerovich, chief executive of Japanese-listed Metaplanet, said in a social media post that people in high-inflation countries need bitcoin to protect their savings from currency collapse and capital controls, while people in low-inflation countries need bitcoin to avoid hidden currency devaluation and negative real returns. It said that because bitcoin is designed to last and pass on wealth for generations, everyone needs bitcoin.
