Tether and Chainalysis form transaction monitoring partnership

Tether, issuer of the largest stablecoin, USDT, said Thursday that it has partnered with blockchain monitoring firm Chainalysis to monitor the trading of its tokens as regulatory pressure mounts. The company said the monitoring system will help Tether identify risky crypto addresses that can be used to bypass sanctions or for illegal activities such as terrorist financing.
