The GreedyBear cybercrime organization has significantly escalated its attack campaign, deploying 150 Firefox extensions to target cryptocurrency users around the world.
According to cyber security firm Koi Security, the group has stolen more than $1 million in cryptocurrency in just five weeks through this campaign. The group has almost tripled its arsenal of extension-based attacks, compared to just 40 malicious extensions previously used by the group between April and July 2025.
