Ukraine will consider a cryptocurrency regulation bill by the end of August

According to Cointelegraph, the chairperson of the Ukrainian Parliament's Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy, Hermantsev, said that the country will conduct its first consideration of the Cryptocurrency Market Regulation Bill by the end of August 2025. The main contents of the bill include:
5% personal income tax and 5% military tax on cryptocurrency transactions
Allowing individuals to legalize acquired digital assets
Proposal to include bitcoin as a national reserve asset
It is worth noting that Ukraine currently holds 46,351 bitcoins, worth about $5.40 billion, making it the fourth largest government bitcoin holder in the world. The country has passed a bill to legalize cryptocurrency exchanges in 2022, and this legislation will further improve the regulatory framework for digital assets.
