The three major U.S. stock indexes collectively closed up, with the Dow up 0.47%, the Nasdaq up 0.98%, the S & P 500 up 0.78%, popular technology stocks generally rising, Apple up more than 4%, up 13% this week, setting the best weekly performance since July 2020. Google, Tesla rose more than 2%, and NVIDIA rose more than 1%.
