On August 8th, Humanity Protocol, a privacy-first blockchain identity network, announced the official launch of the mainnet and launched a system to connect Web2 credentials with Web3 services using zero-knowledge transport layer security technology (zkTLS). zkTLS enables users to verify credentials such as loyalty status or academic qualifications without revealing underlying documents, thus avoiding biometric data collection. Initially, Humanity ID supports aviation, hotel, financial and educational credentials, with future plans to cover on-chain ticketing, decentralized governance and witch-resistant platforms.
