According to official sources, the ZKsync Guardians team submitted a proposal in July 2025 to allocate a total of 8.50 million ZK tokens for Guardians' compensation and administrative expenses over a two-year period from September 2024 to September 2026. The proposal would revoke the existing 2 million unminted ZK limit minting authority (V1) and enable a new 8.50 million ZK limit minting authority (V2), managed by ZKsync Guardians.
Among them, 3.75 million ZK is used for compensation in 2024-2025, 3.75 million ZK is used in 2025-2026, and 1 million ZK is used for administrative expenses.
