The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has taken an important step towards harmonizing its approach to cryptocurrency regulation. The Emirates Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) and the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) have announced a strategic partnership to unify the UAE's approach to cryptocurrency regulation.
A spokesperson for VARA said the latest developments formalised the agreement between the two regulators and "put this intention into practice" through specific mechanisms.
