DL Holdings plans to raise about $83 million for blockchain business

Hong Kong-listed financial services group DL Holdings has announced plans to raise HK $653.30 million (approximately US $83.20 million) through a rights issue to fund the development of its blockchain business. According to the company's filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, DL Holdings has entered into a Placing and Subscription Agreement whereby the seller shareholders will sell shares to at least six purchasers at a price of HK $2.95 per share through the Placing Agent, followed by the immediate repurchase of an equal number of new shares from the company at the same price. The Placing represents approximately 13.58% of the company's current issued share capital, which will be reduced to approximately 11.96% upon completion of the new share issue.
