According to Cointelegraph, cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase will charge a 0.1% fee from August 13 for USDC conversions over $5 million in net exchange over a 30-day period.
Coinbase executives said the move was to understand the impact of fees on USDC withdrawals, particularly as some competitors charge higher withdrawal fees. Analysts said the policy could be aimed at curbing arbitrage by users converting USDC through USDT to withdraw US dollars.
