U.S. stocks close: All three major stock indexes rise

U.S. stocks closed Wednesday with the Dow initially up 0.18 percent, the S & P 500 up 0.7 percent and the Nasdaq up 1.2 percent. Apple (AAPL. O) rose 5 percent, Tesla (TSLA. O) rose 3.6 percent and AMD (AMD. O) fell more than 6 percent.
