The Ethereum Foundation released a blog post to update the latest work progress on "Scale L1/Extended L1", including the following three points:
Marius van der Wijden joins Ansgar Dietrichs and Tim Beiko to co-lead the L1 expansion effort.
2. After Berlinterop, the upper limit of the main network gas is increased to 45 million, which is the first step towards 100 million gas and higher levels;
3. All major execution layer client sides are equipped with the pre-merge history expiration function, which significantly reduces the node disk usage;
In response to the growing demand for the Ethereum network, the Foundation restructured its R & D team and renamed itself Protocol in June, focusing on three strategic goals: Scale L1, Blob expansion, and user experience /UX improvement, while ensuring security and decentralization.
