U.S. stocks closed Tuesday with the Dow initially down 0.1 percent, the S & P 500 index down 0.49 percent and the Nasdaq down 0.65 percent. Pfizer (PFE. N) rose 5 percent, Coinbase (COIN. O) fell 6.3 percent, and Microsoft (MSFT. O) and Meta Platforms (META. O) both fell more than 1 percent.
