According to DigitalAsset, a representative of South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Bitsonic has been sentenced to six months in prison for a fraud involving 100 million won. The representative was previously sentenced to seven years in prison for another fraud.
The fraud involved inducing transactions through false announcements to artificially inflate the trading volume and market value of BitsonicCoin (BSC), thereby defrauding customers of a total of 160 million won.
