Texas to Arrest Democratic Congressman for "Fleeing"

According to CNN, the Texas House of Representatives today approved a motion authorizing the Speaker to issue civil arrest warrants for Democratic lawmakers who do not attend a special session. Dozens of Democratic lawmakers left Texas en masse yesterday to try to block congressional gerrymandering plans. The motion specifically authorizes "conference guards or officials designated by them to bring back all members who are absent without authorization to ensure their attendance, if necessary, in accordance with warrants". The motion was ultimately passed by 85 votes in favor and 6 votes against, and Speaker Dustin Burrows announced the result of the vote. As of press time, the governor of Texas has ordered the arrest of Democrats who have fled the state.
