Dina Titus, a US representative, has written to Caroline Pham, acting chairperson of the CFTC, asking for an investigation into whether Brian Quintenz, the nominee for chairperson, violated regulatory policies and ethics rules. Titus has questioned whether Quintenz had conflicts of interest while serving on the board of Kalshi, a prediction markets company, or allegedly requesting non-public information. Quintenz has said it would step down from Kalshi's board if confirmed. Its Senate confirmation vote has been postponed twice.
