Google backed STAN, an Indian social gaming platform that connects gamers with creators, communities and publishers. Google's investment is part of its $8.50 million equity funding round, which also attracted participation from Bandai Namco Entertainment, Square Enix, Reazon Holdings, Aptos Labs and others. Google participated in the round through its AI Futures Fund, which was launched in May to support startups leveraging its AI tools for development.
