Anthropic cuts OpenAI's API access to Claude

According to The Information, Anthropic cut off OpenAI's access to Claude through the Application Programming Interface (API) on Friday. An Anthropic spokesperson said the move was because OpenAI "used our coding tools prior to the release of GPT-5" in violation of Anthropic's terms of service.
