Fold partners with Blackhawk to promote the entry of bitcoin gift cards into the mainstream retail market in the United States

Nasdaq-listed bitcoin financial services company Fold has announced a partnership with payments technology company Blackhawk to bring its Bitcoin gift card to major digital retailers in the US. The gift card, launched in May 2025, aims to simplify the way users access and use Bitcoin. The partnership will expand its reach through Blackhawk's network of more than 400,000 points of sales around the world. Fold also plans to launch offline retail locations later this year. The current US gift card market is more than 300 billion dollars. Fold aims to capitalize on the growing acceptance of Bitcoin in the United States and seize the opportunity of the crypto gift card track.
