Powell: 30% or 40% of core inflation comes from tariffs

Federal Reserve Chairperson Jerome Powell: Inflation is already very close to the 2% target. There is "catch-up inflation" and that reflects past pressures. It is not possible to separate out the impact of tariffs on inflation. Services inflation is falling and goods inflation is rising. 30 or 40 percent of core inflation comes from tariffs.
