Department of Justice withdraws intent to investigate Dragonfly Investments

According to The Block, the Department of Justice (DOJ) officially stated during the court hearing on July 30 that it will no longer investigate Dragonfly over its early investment in crypto mixer "Tornado Cash". Dragonfly co-founder Haseeb Qureshi confirmed that previous media reports about DOJ plans to file a lawsuit against Dragonfly were not accurate, and neither the company nor its management were within the scope of the investigation. Previously, the DOJ said on Friday that it was considering filing a lawsuit over Dragonfly's investment in Tornado Cash in 2020. At present, Tornado Cash co-founder Roman Storm still faces charges of related conspiracy and sanctions violations.
