Data: More than 3,500 websites were attacked by cryptocurrency mining

C/side, a security research organization, has revealed that more than 3,500 websites have been hacked and implanted with covert JavaScript cryptocurrency mining programs. Attackers use Web Workers and WebSockets to secretly mine while users browse infected websites.
