US stocks close: the stock index staged a roller coaster market AMD fell nearly 9%

U.S. stocks closed on Wednesday, with the three major stock indexes rising and falling after the Federal Reserve announced its interest rate decision. The Dow initially closed up 80 points or 0.2%, the S & P 500 index fell 0.35%, and the Nasdaq index fell 0.33%. NVIDIA (NVDA. O) fell more than 3%, Amazon (AMZN. O) rose more than 2%, and AMD (AMD. O) fell nearly 9%. The Nasdaq China Golden Dragon index closed up 0.57%, NIO (NIO. N) rose nearly 12%, and Alibaba (BABA. N) rose nearly 1%.
