On July 29th, Deutsche Bank now believes that the European Central Bank has ended its easing cycle. Previously, Deutsche Bank expected the ECB to cut interest rates again in September and expected the end point rate to be 1.50% (currently 2%). However, they also previously pointed out that the risk of the ECB easing cycle stopping at 1.75% or even 2.00% cannot be ignored. So, that seems to be the case now. Deutsche Bank now believes that the next move of the ECB is to raise interest rates, but this will not happen until the end of 2026.
