According to Cointelegraph, Joe Lubin, co-founder of Ethereum and CEO of Consensys, said that he participated in the planning of SharpLink Gaming's Ethereum treasury strategy and hoped that the company could stock up on ETH for shareholders as soon as possible, sounding the "battle horn" for enterprises to compete for the number one position in ETH reserves.
Mr. Lubin said SharpLink had built up its ETH reserves "on a daily basis" through a market-to-market mechanism and compounded its holdings against earnings. "We believe we will accumulate ETH faster than any Ethereum project, even Bitcoin-related projects, on a per-share [fully diluted] basis," he said.
Currently, SharpLink is competing with BitMine for the position of "the number one company in the Ethereum treasury". According to StrategicETHReserve data, BitMine currently holds 566,800 ETH (market value of about 2.13 billion US dollars), temporarily ranking first; SharpLink holds 360,800 ETH (market value of about 1.35 billion US dollars) in second place.
