According to the report of the Lao Champasse Military District Command, the incident occurred between July 24 and 25. Cambodian militants illegally crossed the border into Lao territory. The Lao military quickly launched operations and engaged in a gun battle with them. After the exchange of fire, the Lao military arrested 10 Cambodian militants and seized 4 rifles and several grenades. Three people were killed and one person was injured at the scene. The Lao side is currently conducting further interrogation and investigation.
