Mr. Trump said he was considering using some of the revenue from his administration's tariffs on trading partners to send tax rebate cheques to the American people. "We're really looking at that. We have a lot of money coming in right now and we're looking at giving a little tax rebate," Mr. Trump told reporters as he left for Scotland at the White House on Friday. "It could be very nice to give a little tax rebate to people below a certain income level." He also said it was also possible to use the revenue to pay down US Treasuries. "The big thing we want to do is reduce debt, but we're also looking at tax rebates." So far this fiscal year, US revenue from tariffs has exceeded $100 billion for the first time. According to the monthly budget report released by the US Treasury, the United States received $27 billion in revenue from customs tariffs in June, bringing the tariff inflow so far this fiscal year to $113 billion.
