According to Coindesk, Solana developers are considering increasing the network's block capacity by 66% as demand for block space grows. According to a document released this week by core contributors, new proposal SIMD-0286 proposes to increase Solana's cap on computing units (CUs) per block from 60 million to 100 million. The proposal aims to enable Solana to handle more transactions and support more complex applications such as decentralized transaction platforms (DEX), MEV systems, and re-staking protocols without hitting the computational cap.
