Horizen Blockchain has migrated its native token from the original Layer 1 blockchain to the Base chain to become the standard ERC-20 token. This token migration is part of the deployment of Horizen 2.0 on Base as a three-tier application chain. In this migration, ZEN became the standard ERC-20 token, and Horizen also launched a three-tier application chain with privacy at its core. The maximum supply of ZEN remains at 21 million.
The project team pointed out that this is the first step in the restart of Horizen's privacy-centric application chain ecosystem on Base.
Previously, the exchange Coinbase announced on the X platform that it would automatically convert ZEN tokens held by users on the main Horizen chain into ERC-20 equivalent tokens on Base.
