Blockchain domain name registrar Freename completes $6.50 million Series A financing, led by Entrée Capital

Zurich-based blockchain domain name registrar Freename announced the completion of a $6.50 million Series A funding round led by Entrée Capital, Polymorphic Capital, Sparkle Ventures, Blockchain Founders Fund and Golden Record Ventures, as well as former Coinbase Custody CEO Aaron Schnarch, Target Global co-founder Mike Lobanov, Rashwan family office and others. The new funds are proposed to support its unified Web2 and on-chain Web3 digital identity ecosystems such as Polygon, Solana, Base and BNB Chain, and enable traditional Internet Protocol Addresses and wallet addresses in a regulated manner.
