7月24日讯，泰国军队称，当地时间星期四凌晨，泰国军队与柬埔寨部队在边境地区发生冲突，柬埔寨士兵在边境地区开火。当地时间7月23日，泰国方面以“地雷爆炸事件”为由，决定降低与柬埔寨的外交关系级别，柬方随后宣布对等回应。
