Florida judge rejects request to unseal grand jury transcripts in Epstein case

On Wednesday, a federal judge in Florida rejected a Justice Department request to release the records of the grand jury investigation into Epstein. Attorney General Bondi's push to release grand jury materials in the Epstein case was aimed at quelling the ire of Trump's base MAGA, who urged the government to disclose what Epstein called a "client list." Earlier this month, Trump's Justice Department and FBI said no such client list existed, and Bondi said she would not release more material. Despite the denial in Florida, the Justice Department has another opportunity, and they also asked two federal judges in New York, where prosecutors filed their case against Epstein and his co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell, to unseal the grand jury transcripts. Federal courts in New York usually take a less strict approach to grand jury secrecy. (Politico)
