A recent trade deal has reduced the uncertainty that has been weighing on the dollar, but there is little room for the greenback to rebound. "A broad increase in tariffs will weigh on the relative outlook for the United States, thereby continuing to weaken the strength of the dollar," economists at Goldman Sachs said in a report. While the deal with Japan has improved sentiment on Wall Street, Goldman said it remains to be seen whether Japan's $550 billion commitment to the United States will materialize. There are also questions about how the cost of tariffs will be shared among exporters, importers and consumers.
