Crypto asset manager CoinShares has received a MiCA license from the French Financial Markets Authority (AMF), becoming the first European asset manager to offer crypto portfolio management services within the European Union.
The license adds to its existing MiFID and AIFM qualifications, making it the only major European crypto asset manager to hold all three compliance licenses. CoinShares said the move will help expand its business in the EU27 and promote the transition of the traditional asset management industry to crypto products.
