According to cryptocurrency journalist Eleanor Terrett, U.S. Senate Banking Committee Chairperson Tim Scott, Senators Cynthia Lummis, Bill Hagerty, and Bernie Moreno have jointly released a long-awaited draft discussion on crypto market structure.
The draft was originally scheduled to be released last week, but was delayed due to internal House controversy. The draft builds on the passed House CLARITY Act and the Lummis-Gillibrand Act to propose new regulations in areas such as token classification, regulatory decentralization, banking, information disclosure, and illicit finance.
