Opinion: Treasury sustainability will be a key issue in the second half of this year

Felix Herrmann, an analyst at Aramea Asset Management, said in a note that the debate over U.S. debt sustainability is likely to dominate U.S. markets in the second half of the year. The chief economist said this will lead to upside risks for long-term U.S. Treasury yields. He said U.S. debt will increase significantly in the short term, in part due to the so-called Big and American Act. (Golden Ten)
