OP_CAT advocate Udi Wertheimer, co-founder of Taproot Wizards, said OP_CAT (aka BIP-420) has gone live on SIGNET, the official Bitcoin testnet. This will allow developers to build advanced OP_CAT applications using CatVM and test them in real time on the official testnet.
Bitcoin SIGNET is a testnet designed for developers to create a block for software testing on average every 10 minutes without miners and without proof of work. Signet is characterized by the fact that each block must contain evidence (e.g. a signature) that the creation of the block was approved by a trusted authority.
