Ethereum, the cryptocurrency, has outperformed its better-known peer Bitcoin, rising to a six-month high of $3,478.97, according to data. David Morrison, an analyst at Trade Nation, a fintech company, said in a report that Bitcoin had shown signs of pulling back after hitting an all-time high of $123,153 on Monday. He noted that traders hoping to profit from further gains were frustrated by Bitcoin's failure to recover above $120,000, which "raises the question of whether Bitcoin's upward momentum can be sustained without a new catalyst".
