Analyst: ETH's strength may indicate that BTC's market share has peaked, and market funds are flowing into Ethereum and counterfeit products

Matthew Hyland, a crypto analyst, said that if the price of Ethereum continues to rise, Bitcoin's market dominance may have peaked. "If ETH exits the rally against BTC and maintains a strong trend, there is a 99 per cent chance that Bitcoin's market share will peak," Hyland wrote on the X platform on Tuesday. Bitcoin's market share has fallen 1.85 per cent in the past seven days, with crypto trader Ash Crypto saying this was because "money is flowing into Ethereum and other counterfeit products". Generally speaking, the increase in Bitcoin market share means that investors prefer Bitcoin to counterfeit products, while the decline in dominance may indicate increased confidence in the broader counterfeit products ecosystem. Crypto trader Cas Abbe said that Ethereum is currently in a very clear "bull flag" pattern "and is approaching a breakout".
