According to CCTV coverage, the U.S. Ministry of Education began sending updated termination notices to hundreds of employees following the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling on the 14th. The notice informed Ministry of Education employees that they would officially leave their jobs on August 1. The notice said the Ministry of Education thanked them for their service and "understands the current difficulties". Previously, U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon said in March that she would cut about 1,400 jobs as part of Trump's plan to gradually shut down the Ministry of Education. Lower courts suspended the layoffs, but the Supreme Court ultimately ruled that the order was invalid.
