BlackRock's quarterly earnings report: Bitcoin ETF inflows surged 366% in the second quarter

BlackRock released its quarterly earnings report, in which it revealed that inflows into its bitcoin ETF IBIT surged 366% in the second quarter to $14 billion, up from $3 billion in the previous quarter. In addition, cryptocurrency inflows accounted for 16.5% of BlackRock's total ETF inflows in the second quarter of $85 million, a significant increase from just under 3% in Quarter 1 in 2025. However, BlackRock's total inflows fell by 19%, from $84 billion in Quarter 1 to $68 billion in the second quarter. As of June 30, the digital asset generated $40 million in underlying expenses, or about 1% of BlackRock's long-term revenue. That figure was up 18% from Quarter 1's $34 million.
