On July 10, 2025, Eureka applied to the Korea Intellectual Property Office for several stablecoin-related trademarks, including "WCKRW", "WCWON", and "WONWC". This makes it the third credit card company to enter the stablecoin space, after New Korean Card and Korean National Card.
Among the products identified in the application is downloadable software for stablecoins, whose potential use as a means of payment is being widely discussed and of keen interest from the credit card industry.
It is worth noting that Woori Bank, a subsidiary of Woori Financial Group, has applied for multiple stablecoin trademarks on July 7, indicating the active layout of the five major financial holding companies in the stablecoin market.
