Commerce Department launches 232 investigation into drone and polysilicon imports

On July 15, the US Federal Register notice shows that the US Department of Commerce launched a Section 232 investigation into imported drones and their components on July 1. If the findings determine that they pose a threat to national security, the president can impose tariffs on these goods. The US government also said in a separate notice that it will launch a Section 232 investigation into polysilicon and its derivatives on July 1.
